26/03/2005 16:26 We always pronounced it 'funnel' - as in toot-toot funnel!! Apparently my grandmother, Laura (nee Greenwood), pronounced in fun-nell, but then she was a bit snobby!
PS If anyone knows anything about the Funnell family of Ringmer, East Sussex, esp. the two Georges who were blacksmiths I'd be interested to know.
